My wife took this photo in stopped traffic because fluffy doggo (total missed fur face Friday opportunity). But my first question is what the heck is with that giant gas cap/port in the body panel behind the door??
What is this vehicle? I see any grey CUV on the market. My wife’s assesment was “I dunno, think maybe it was a a Jeep”
Could it be a power/gas cap combo for a hybrid (seems I’ll advised), natural gas isn’t that big, There’s no hydrogen round here that I know of.
Help me Oppo you're my only hope.

i dont think the door is unusually huge, just the windows are oddly small

Everyone who said Jeep Cherokee is correct.
As for the fuel door, I was able to find a picture with the door open:
For some reason it seems smaller in this picture.

After posting I did start wondering if
maybe the gas cap was normal size and
it’s a really
tiny compact SUV with
a small dog

Darn that’s a very normal explanation but that gas flap is literally twice the diameter it needs to be.
Maybe they save money on sheet metal this way and we’
re headed for the era of oversized everything: door handles the size of melons....

They sell diesel versions overseas. Perhaps it is sized to allow for the addition of an adblue filler under the same cap? Just speculation though.

Those have white fur (they are basically dogs made of clouds). I think Jason Spears is right that this is probably a Chow Chow.
